Arsenal’s u18s continued their winning run with a 3-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday.

The u18s got off to a good start when Xavier Amaechi scored early on. Xavier only recently returned from injury, and it was his fourth goal in four starts for the u18s.

The 16-year-old also bagged a brace against Spurs in the u18 Premier League and scored against Stoke to help the Gunners progress in the Premier League Cup, making a strong comeback so far.

Despite the early goal, neither side managed to add another in the remainder of the first half, and the teams went in at 1-0 at the break.

Goalscorer Amaechi ended up being the first substitute for the Gunners in the second half, as Folarin Balogun entered the fray. Balogun has been similarly impressive this season, with five goals in eight starts so far.

But it was another of the Arsenal u18s prolific young stars who doubled their lead.

Tyreece John-Jules scored from an Olayinka assist to make it five goals and an assist in seven games for the 16 year old. Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 just a couple of minutes later.

That turned out to be the final goal of the game, as Arsenal got another win under their belt ahead of the mid-week youth cup game against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Gunners are now second in the Southern section of the u18 Premier League, with only Chelsea ahead.
