Ian Wright says Alexandre Lacazette must start every game.

Despite costing the club a record fee, Lacazette hasn’t started in every game for Arsenal. He’s featured in every one of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season, but started on the bench against Liverpool and Manchester City.

Ian Wright believes that Lacazette’s finishing ability means he should be starting every game, and that the Frenchman is about to “let loose”.

“Lacazette I feel is a fantastic signing if you’re going to play him then play him continuously,” Wright said, as reported by the Metro.

“If I had him in my squad he would start literally every game. he takes half chances, he finishes well with both feet and I think now he is ready to be let loose.

“The more he plays, the more consistently he plays for the duration of games the more goals he is going to score.

“He’s that predator in the box Arsenal have been missing for many years.”

There was a lot of confusion over Arsene Wenger’s decision to drop Lacazette to the bench for the trip to Manchester City. He came on early in the second half, and scored Arsenal’s only goal of the game with the first chance that fell his way.

He went on to start for France against Germany during the international break, and scored two more goals. With Olivier Giroud an injury doubt, there’s little reason why the 26-year-old shouldn’t be playing against Tottenham on Saturday.

Lacazette has six goals for Arsenal this season, despite not having the best supply so far this season. He has received plenty of comparisons with Ian Wright due to being clinical in front of goal.

Wright clearly rates Lacazette and speaks for many Arsenal fans when he says he should play all the time.
