Arsenal will only consider selling one of Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil in January, not both, according to latest reports.

The Daily Star have revealed in an exclusive that Arsenal don’t want to sell their two best players in January.

If that news hasn’t left you reeling in shock, they report the Gunners would only consider letting one of them leave, and would demand at least £30m from interested clubs.

The idea of Arsenal selling either Ozil or Alexis has become increasingly popular the closer we’ve gotten to the January transfer window.

Manchester City are still interested in Alexis, while there have been reports every week linking Ozil to either Manchester United or Barcelona.

Arsene Wenger recently claimed that the pair wanted to stay at Arsenal, but admitted that just defeating Tottenham wouldn’t be enough to convince them to stay.

Speaking after that 2-0 win, Wenger said: “I am convinced they love the club, they love the team. But I am long enough in the job to know wins like this are not enough. The quality of the contract has to be good enough for them as well.

“There are other clubs out there who can offer good contracts as well. The contract is part of it, the whole thing has to be right, they have to be happy.”

With seemingly no progress made on extending their contracts, Arsenal face the prospect of having to sell them to any willing buyer.

For the time being, Wenger will be keen to play them as much as possible and reap the benefits of their partnership with Alexandre Lacazette.
