Mesut Ozil is reportedly demanding a massive signing on fee if he joins Barcelona in January.

Ozil is willing to move back to La Liga to join his ex-rivals Barca if they cough up a huge signing on fee, claims Diario Gol.

With just over six months left on his deal with Arsenal, it’s looking increasingly likely that the playmaker will be jumping ship and if the Gunners want any money for him at all, they need to offload him in January.

Barca can allegedly sign the 29-year-old for £30m although will apparently have to cough up the aforementioned signing on fee as well.

This is despite Arsene Wenger insisting that neither Ozil or Alexis Sanchez will be going anywhere during the January transfer window, suggesting that they’ll both be off on a free at the end of the season since neither appears to want to stay.

Ozil has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United where he can reunite with his former Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho. It’s thought that he wants to stay in the Premier League while there are also reports that the Germany international is trying to negotiate a £330k-per-week deal at his next club.

It’s all getting a bit messy.
