England legend Les Ferdinand has made his prediction ahead of the North London Derby on November 18 and the ex-striker doesn’t hold out much hope for Arsenal.

Ferdinand admitted that while form does tend to go out the window during a derby, most people will be backing Tottenham to win at the Emirates on Saturday.

“I think you’d have to make Spurs favourites at the moment,” the former Spurs man told Sky Sports.

“But everyone knows when you go into a derby game, form goes out of the window.

“It’s what it means to the players.

“The atmosphere is always electric, it’s good.

“I’m looking forward to it, unfortunately I can’t go to this one. But I will be watching it on TV.”

Spurs are currently third in the Premier League, level on points with Manchester United in second and four points ahead of Arsenal in sixth.

While there’s not a whole lot of points between the two north London teams at the moment, Mauricio Pochettino’s side look slightly more solid and have been more consistent this term. In fact, they’ve only lost twice and have conceded just seven goals – the same amount as Manchester City at the top of the table and only two less than United, who have let in the least.

Last term, Arsenal drew 1-1 with Spurs at home. Considering the Gunners’ uninspiring home performances as of late combined with their remarkably impressive record at the Emirates, I’d say we’re probably in for more of the same. Although who knows, we could do a madness and pull another 5-2 out of the bag… Not that I would bet on it…
