Nabil Fekir is reportedly edging closer to a move to Arsenal.

Fekir has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a number of weeks now, with the Daily Star ‘exclusively’ reporting earlier in November that the Gunners had pretty much agreed to pay Lyon £60m for the attacking midfielder.

Now, it’s TransferMarketWeb claiming that a deal is edging closer and that the 24-year-old will be replacing Alexis Sanchez. However, where they get this from is anybody’s guess since they could just be relaying what the Star originally said.

Fekir has until June 2020 on his deal with Lyon and is currently hot-property over in Ligue 1, which explains why he would allegedly set the Gunners back around £60m.

The France international tends to play as an attacking-mid, rather than forward, but he can play on the wing and did so seven times for Lyon last term. While it would make more sense if he was replacing Mesut Ozil, as was originally speculated, he’s netted 11 goals in 11 Ligue 1 appearances this season and provided there assists, so who am I to argue? That’s more than either!

As it stands, it looks as if Alexis and Ozil are leaving either in January, despite what Arsene Wenger claims, or at the end of the season, which means we need quality replacements in and pronto.
