Julian Draxler says he isn’t thinking about leaving PSG in either of the next two transfer windows, despite links to an Arsenal move.

With Alexis Sanchez’s contract running down, rumours have started to emerge that the Gunners could be looking to swap the Chilean with Draxler in January.

From Arsenal’s point of view, it makes a lot of sense. Alexis will probably leave in the summer anyway, and at least this way they’ll get something back. However, Draxler told Marca that he’s just focusing on his current club.

“I am not thinking about leaving the club in winter or summer. I am in mid-season with PSG now and I am focused on the high aims we have,” reports Football365“It is not a relevant moment now to think about my future. But, of course, the Bundesliga is always interesting.”

Draxler has been in decent form so far this season, with two goals and four assists in 14 matches. The German has been playing a deeper role than in the past, to allow Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Edinson Cavani to combine up top.

With the expensive trio ahead of him, and all the other quality midfielders and forwards PSG have at their disposal, the 24-year-old has done well to hold down a place in the team.

Twelve matches into their league campaign, PSG are still undefeated, and they’re also three points clear of Bayern Munich in their Champions League group.

So, as a starter in that team, you can understand why Draxler might be more interested in focusing on his own team for the moment.
