Watford’s Richarlison is drawing interest from the Chinese Super League, after good performances had already attracted attention from Arsenal and Tottenham.

That’s according to the Mirror, who writes that the 20-year-old Brazilian’s five goals and three assists in 12 Premier League matches haven’t gone unnoticed by the top clubs.

Arsenal and Tottenham have reportedly been watching him over the last couple of months, and Chinese clubs are now following the situation as well. Odion Ighalo recently moved from Watford to China, so there’s some history there.

Of course, Richarlison’s main connection to the Gunners at the moment remains his apparent dive to win a penalty when Arsenal faced Watford.

That didn’t earn him a great deal of favour with supporters of the North London side, especially when he then missed a couple of great chances against Chelsea the next week – although he still did provide an assist that game.

Two more goals against Everton and West Ham make it seven goals contributions in his last seven matches, an impressive return following a slower start for Watford’s new signing.

He’s under contract until 2022, and has a guaranteed starting position at the moment, so I wouldn’t expect the winger to move on in January. However, a summer transfer could be on the cards if he keeps up his good form.
