Arsenal supporters have reacted very angrily to Emmanuel Adebayor’s comments on former Gunner Tomas Rosicky.

Rosicky is currently playing football for Sparta Prague, but he spent 10 years with the Gunners after being signed in 2006.

Adebayor only managed three years with Arsenal before throwing his career away for Manchester City’s money, but for some reason he still thinks he has the right to criticise a fan-favourite.

Speaking to French outlet So Foot via GFFN, Adebayor said: “I was the strongest player on the team, despite the fact that I weighed 73kg. Chelsea had Essien & Ballack in midfield. We had Rosicky. If you said as much as “how are you” to him, he would then be injured for 2 and a half months.”

The Arsenal fans were not at all pleased with the comments, and took the opportunity to highlight the massive difference between the two players in terms of class and achievement.

Rosicky’s loyalty to the club was eventually rewarded with a couple of FA Cup trophies and a Community Shield, as well as the love of the Arsenal fanbase.

Conversely, Adebayor has one Copa del Rey trophy from a loan spell to show for his entire career, and his comments continue to alienate him from Gunners supporters, reports Football.London.

Adebayor hasn’t made many friends with these latest comments. Maybe he’ll think twice before he next opens his mouth, although I have my doubts.
