Arsenal have identified Yacine Brahimi as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, according to latest reports.

According to The Sun, Arsenal are keen to sign FC Porto winger Yacine Brahimi who’s had a bright start to the season. The 27-year-old has scored and created seven goals in 11 league games for the Portuguese outfit in 2017/18, and could be a target for the Gunners, should they lose Alexis Sanchez in January or next summer.

Reports from Abola suggest Arsenal could make an approach for the Algerian international who is valued at £18m. Brahimi can play in a variety of role in attack and would provide both goals and assists to the London club. Manager Arsene Wenger is bracing for the departure of Alexis, and Brahimi has hit form at the perfect time.

The 27-year-old has contributed six goals in his last six league outings for Porto, helping the side to the top of the Primeira Liga table. Brahimi has made 39 appearances for the Algerian national team, scoring nine goals, and could find himself the subject of interest for a number of clubs as a result of his upturn in form.

Arsenal can certainly afford the £18m valuation, but it’s unknown if they will make an official approach when the January transfer window opens.
