Arsenal have appointed highly-rated Borussia Dortmund chief scout Sven Mislintat to be the Head of Recruitment, a further indication Ivan Gazidis is winning the battle for change at the club.
The Gunners are being hailed for such a coup, as Mislintat has a fantastic reputation due to his impressive signings during his time in Germany,.

The 45-year-old has reportedly set Arsenal back £1.6m in compensation, and his appointment will give supporters hope of top acquisitions being made in the January transfer window, let alone next summer.

According to Arsenal.com, Mislintat will start his new role in December, working with the first team and academy. He’ll be in close contact with Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis, while also liaising with other coaches, the background analytics team and Arsenal’s global scouting network.
Arsene Wenger had this to say of Mislintat: “We are delighted that Sven is joining us. Identifying and developing talent is a core part of our philosophy and Sven has an outstanding track record over many years. We look forward to him taking our existing recruitment approach forwards.”
His arrival comes as Rowley calls time on his 25 years of service at Arsenal. The long-serving chief scout has unearthing many talents but has now stood down from his role. It’s believed he will support Arsenal with ad hoc scouting on a consultancy basis.
Gazidis promised there would be change at Arsenal football club, and with an overhaul of backroom staff in the last few months, it appears he’s finally having his way.
