Real Madrid could sign Alexis Sanchez and use him as a squad player, according to reports.

The Chilean also, reportedly, has his heart set on moving to Real Madrid and would even take a pay cut to join.

That’s according to Don Balon, who go on to claim that Alexis wouldn’t even be first choice under Zinedine Zidane and would only be signed to bolster their frontline options.

At this point, there are few fans who believe that Alexis will stay at Arsenal and many of them aren’t that bothered. Mostly, we just want to be able to move on, something that is impossible until he leaves or signs a new deal.

His return to the first team after the chaotic end to the transfer window has hardly been inspiring.

This season, he’s scored just two goals and has spent most of his time giving the ball away.

The assumption is that he’ll join Manchester City, either in January or in the summer.

The Daily Star had an “exclusive” about Arsenal being willing to sell him in two months time for £30m.

However, I’m sure supporters wouldn’t mind if Alexis decided to move abroad instead.

Alexis is currently enjoying some rare time off as Chile had no friendlies scheduled for this international break.

He should be fresh for the North London derby after the break. Whether he’s focused, however, is another matter entirely.
