Arsenal may have to do without Sead Kolasinac at the Etihad on Sunday as the defender seems to have suffered a setback/new problem.

Arsenal are also not expecting to welcome back any of their other injured players for the trip to Manchester on Sunday.

Shkodran Mustafi, who injured himself on international duty in October, and Danny Welbeck, who damaged his groin in the 2-1 defeat to Watford, are both expected to be back after the international break.

David Ospina is also expected to return after the break, having missed the last couple of weeks with a groin strain. That means Matt Macey, who played on Thursday against Red Star Belgrade, is expected to be on the bench.

Calum Chambers is another who won’t be ready in time for City. He’s been out since the 1-0 win over Doncaster in the Carabao Cup due to a hip injury.

There was supposed to be better news about Sead Kolasinac. The Bosnian was subbed off during the 2-1 win over Swansea with a hip problem, and was expected to be fine for the City game.

However…

Arsenal have no other issues after the remainder of the first team was rested against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday.

The likes of Mohamed Elneny, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud are expected to return to the bench.

Petr Cech, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette should all return to the first team.

Arsenal’s one long-term absentee is Santi Cazorla, who’s still recovering from an Achilles injury that was more serious than any of us ever could have imagined [warning, graphic images included].
