Granit Xhaka has hailed his teammate Sead Kolasinac after the wing-back scored his first Premier League goal on Saturday.

Kolasinac netted his first Premiership goal against Swansea on Saturday, leading Xhaka to prais the 24-year-old’s crucial contribution to the game.

“We know that Seo has so much quality in attack, just as he does defensively,” Xhaka told Arsenal Player. “His goal and assist were crucial for the team and we hope he continues to perform like that.

“We make it easy for him, he was accepted instantly and we knew already how strong he is.

“That he’s that dangerous in front of goal, we didn’t see so often in Germany! But it’s going well here in England and we’re pleased to have him.”

Kolasinac has now scored three goals for Arsenal, including his equaliser against Chelsea in the Community Shield. The Bosnia international has also provided three assists.

The big guy has quickly become an Arsenal fan favourite as he doesn’t just provide something going forward, he’s a complete boss in defence. He’s a monster and it’s been a while since we’ve had a player of his… stature… who can also genuinely play football in the team.

Kolasinac not only scored and assisted on Saturday, helping the Gunners to come back from 1-0 down to win 2-1, he also completed 92% of his passes, made two key passes, won two tackles and had two shots.

After signing for Arsenal on a free this summer, I’m not sure Gooners expected the ex-Schalke full-back to find his stride in a new league so easily. However, as Xhaka says, he has. In fact, he’s got tonnes of quality going forward as well as in defence.

Hopefully, Kolasinac will continue to contribute as much as he has been. He’s already become a key member of the starting XI and it’s great to have him on board.
