Arsene Wenger has made the Premier League Manager of the Month shortlist for September.

Wenger has made the four-man shortlist for Manager of the Month.

The others are Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Jose Mourinho (Manchester United) and Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur).

Despite a shaky start to the campaign, the boss has steered the Gunners to two wins and a draw in September. The draw was 0-0 away to last season’s champions Chelsea, so was a pretty big fixture that Arsenal managed to avoid losing.

City, meanwhile, won all four of their ties; United won three and drew one; Spurs also won three and drew once.

Wenger has currently won the second-most Manager of the Month awards: 15. However, he’s got a long way to go before he catches up with Sir Alex Ferguson’s 27.

Pep’s only won it once but considering he’s only been in England for a little over a season, that can be forgiven.

Mourinho’s down in 16th after clinching just three.

It’ll be pretty amusing if Wenger wins it ahead of Mourinho considering there seems to be  some sort of conspiracy that prevents him from being awarded. Last month, he lost out to Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner.

It would be especially funny considering how poorly Arsenal started the season and Jose’s bitter hatred towards Wenger.
