Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey, Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny will be alright to face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The boss insists that Rambo, Kos and Alexis are fine after all three missed Arsenal’s trip to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Rambo and Alexis didn’t feature against Watford last Saturday after they were both involved in their respective national teams’ 2018 World Cup qualifiers at the beginning of the month.

Neither Wales or Chile qualified so while the official line was Rambo had a tight hamstring and Alexis had tight quadriceps, both players probably just needed a bit of a mental break.

Kos, on the other hand, has been dealing with an ongoing Achilles problem and limped off minutes before the final whistle at Vicarage Road. Fortunately, it appears this was just cramp and the centre-back is fit to face the Toffees.

Danny Welbeck will unfortunately be out for another two-to-three weeks with a groin problem. The striker made his first appearance since the Chelsea draw against Watford but had to be taken off with what seems to be a similar issue in the 61st minute.

Welbz won’t be back until after the international break at the beginning of November and neither will Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring) or Calum Chambers (hip).

David Ospina should only be out a couple of weeks.

“Ospina is not very bad, he has a grade one [groin problem],” said Wenger, “so it’s just a couple of weeks. Mustafi is a bit worse than Ospina.”
