Lucas Perez scored as none of the Arsenal loanees making appearances were on the losing side this weekend.

Lucas scored his first goal for Deportivo La Coruña, on his third start for the club, as Depor beat Emi Martinez’s Getafe 2-1. Although, as usual, Emi only made the bench for the game. It’s good to see Lucas finally get off the mark and hopefully he can push on now.

Another player who made the bench for his side but didn’t make an appearance was Marc Bola, as Bristol Rovers beat Plymouth 2-1. Marc had started the previous four games for Rovers in all competitions, so hopefully this is just a break before he’s back in the team.

Cohen Bramall and the injured Carl Jenkinson were once again excluded as Hull smashed Birmingham 6-1. Perhaps the disastrous result will force Steve Cotterill to make a few changes that could see Bramall get a chance.

Stephy Mavididi managed to get 12 minutes in Preston North End’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland, but all the goals were scored before he entered proceedings. Meanwhile Takuma Asano made the bench as Stuttgart lost 2-1 to Frankfurt.

Joel Campbell’s Real Betis played out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad, but Campbell is still not yet available for selection after his knee injury.

Finally, Kelechi Nwakali played 60 minutes of VVV-Venlo’s 2-0 win over Excelsior in the Eredivisie, as they continued their unbeaten run since he joined the team.
