Manchester United have an interest in Alexis Sanchez, but feel he will join Manchester City, according to reports.

Alexis Sanchez is out of contract in the summer and, unsurprisingly, has a number of clubs interested in signing him.

One of those clubs, according to the Independent, is Manchester United.

However, given the fact that the report dedicated just one paragraph at the end of their article to this interest, it can’t be that serious.

The report claims that United feel Manchester City have the advantage when it comes to signing Alexis, having already reached an agreement with him in the summer.

Alexis almost joined City on deadline day, but Arsenal cancelled the deal when they failed to sign Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.

Assuming City are still interested, they’ll either try again in January or simply wait until the end of the season when he’s out of contract.

It seems almost certain at this stage that Alexis will leave the club.

If City decide they don’t want him anymore, the likes of United and Paris St. Germain will be right behind them.

Meanwhile, Alexis is playing for Arsenal again and provided an excellent assist during the 2-0 win over Brighton last Sunday.
