Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson and versatile midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles look set to play against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

The duo have been involved in Arsenal’s Carabao Cup matches and the Europa League this season and should be involved again on Thursday.

The u23s faced Sunderland on Monday, but neither Nelson or Maitland-Niles were involved. It suggests that both players were left out with one eye on the Europa League meeting to come, reports Football.London.

Nelson and Maitland-Niles have been used as the right and left wing-backs whenever Arsenal have played in a cup game this season.

They started against Doncaster in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League game against Belarus. Maitland-Niles started against Cologne, while Nelson came on as a late substitute.

Other Arsenal youngsters who could be involved are Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah. Neither were involved in the u23 game against Sunderland.

They played in the game against BATE Borisov, with Willock starting in midfield, while Nketiah made his début from the bench.

Arsenal have two wins from two in the Europa League so far and will be on the brink of qualification should they defeat Red Star.
