Marc Bola played 90 minutes for Bristol Rovers on Saturday as his loan side smashed Northampton 6-0.

Bola not only got another 90 minutes under his belt for Bristol at the weekend, he managed his first assist of the campaign.

The left-back helped Dom Telford score the Rovers’ sixth of the League One match just minutes from full-time after Billy Bodin, Ellis Harrison (x2), Rory Gaffney and Liam Sercombe had already found the back of the net.

19-year-old Bola’s now played 660 minutes for Bristol and appears to finally be hitting his stride after watching the opening matches of the season from the bench.

Bola spent the second-half of last term on loan at Notts County where he made 13 League Two appearances and managed an assist. Although he’s a defender, he’s already equaled his tally so I’m sure he’ll be hoping to contribute further to Bristol’s attacking play in the future.

Elsewhere, it was quiet for Arsenal’s loanees this weekend as everyone appears to be off on international duty or injured.

Lucas Perez has suffered a bruise to his thigh and is expected to miss a few weeks for Deportivo. According to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness), the 29-year-old has suffered a ‘significant contusion in the left quadricep, which has caused a hematoma in the crural muscle’.
