Sead Kolasinac was subbed off at half-time for Bosnia, but nobody is sure if he’s injured or not. It could be bad news for Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s trip to face Watford.

The defender started in Bosnia’s final World Cup qualifying game against Estonia on Tuesday night. He was then subbed off at half-time, sparking fears that he may have picked up an injury, reports Football.London.

Despite rumours on both sides, there has yet to be confirmation of an injury or if the substitute was purely a tactical decision. Crucially, there have been no reports from Bosnia about any injury.

Kolasinac was replaced by FC Utrecht defender Dario Durmic, which seemed like an odd tactical change. The game at that point was goalless. If Bosnia were pressing for more goals, taking off Kolasinac would be counter-intuitive to that.

Arsenal fans now face a nervous wait for an update on the Bosnian’s fitness from Arsene Wenger in his pre-Watford press conference. The international break has already seen Shkodran Mustafi injure his hamstring, which will likely keep him out for a number of weeks.

Laurent Koscielny, meanwhile, missed France’s game against Bulgaria and Belarus due to his chronic tendinitis. Another defensive injury could see significant changes to Arsenal’s back-line on Saturday.
