Inter Milan’s reported move for Mesut Ozil could go unchallenged at this rate as contract talks with Arsenal stall… again.

Talks between Arsenal and Ozil over a new deal have stalled again, claim the Mirror.

The playmaker apparently wants £350k-per-week in wages, which would take him above the likes of Gervinho and Hulk in the Chinese Super League and level with Gareth Bale. However, classic stingy Arsenal are supposedly only willing to give him a measly £275k-per-week. How ever would be survive?

The Gunners are said to be sick and tired of the 29-year-old’s attitude during games with his display against Watford on Saturday being the last straw.

Arsenal are therefore apparently looking to sell him in January instead of losing him on a free in the summer when his contract expires.

As it stands, Inter Milan are allegedly the only team that actually want to sign the former Real Madrid star and, as the Express says, if they formalise their interest the Serie A club would more or less have a clear run at signing Ozil in January.

Last week, Ozil’s agent Dr Erkut Sogut claimed that talks were going ‘positively’ and his client wants to stay in the Premier League for ‘two to three’ more years.

Well… not any more, Erkut.
