Arsenal had a particular busy week this time around, with Norwich on Tuesday, the AGM on Thursday and Swansea at the weekend.

1. Cover-More became Arsenal’s official travel insurance partner

The Gunners added a new commercial partnership to their list of current deals, signing up with Cover-More for the next three years. Advertisements were already on display for the insurance company at the match against Swansea, and it’s good to see Arsenal making some progress commercially after a few deals ended recently.

2. Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to sign Özil over Coutinho

The latest rumour circulating about Mesut’s future on Saturday was that Messi had told Barcelona chiefs to sign the German instead of focusing on Coutinho. Liverpool don’t seem to want to let go of the Brazilian, even for the ridiculous amount rumoured to be offered over the summer, so Özil on a free transfer might start to seem appealing.

3. Wenger praised Kolašinac’s Swansea performance and gave an injury update

Kolašinac put in a man-of-the-match performance to once again help the Gunners turn a game around, with a goal and an assist on this occasion. However, he was forced off, leaving many fans concerned ahead of the Manchester City match next weekend. Wenger said Sead’s influence on the game was ‘decisive’ and confirmed that the injury was ‘minor’, so the Bosnian should be available next weekend.

4. Manchester City don’t plan to buy Alexis in January

We had an Özil story, so of course there has to be story about Alexis Sanchez as well. The latest is that City are apparently angry at Arsenal’s conduct over the summer, and therefore don’t want to negotiate with the Gunners again in January, instead preferring to wait for the summer.

5. Eddie Nketiah is set for a big pay rise

After scoring two goals against Norwich in midweek, Eddie Nketiah has reportedly earned himself a new deal, as the Gunners plan to boost his salary by 650%. The club want to get Eddie on a five-year deal, according to the report.
