On Wednesday morning, Arsenal’s official Twitter account asked fans to share their favourite memories of Tomas Rosicky for his birthday and were rightfully chewed out for not hosting his testimonial.

Arsenal fans are desperate for the 37-year-old to be given a testimonial after he spent 10 years at the club.

Rosicky was with us from 2006 – 2016 and the Little Mozart was a lot of Gooners’ favourite player. However, last year he was allowed to run down his contract and leave in search of regular football. He’s since signed for his boyhood club, Sparta Prague.

The midfielder’s career in north London was marred by injuries. In total, he spent almost 1,000 days sidelined during his time at Arsenal and has continued to struggle to stay fit upon his return to the Czech Republic.

This season, Rosicky’s made seven appearances and scored once, which is a start. Hopefully he can stay fit.

It’s unclear whether the Metallica-lover will continue to play for much longer but Arsenal fans would love to see him get a testimonial before he decides to hang up his boots for good.

Is Arsenal’s Twitter post about fans’ best memories of the Little Mozart just a generic social media move for his birthday or is there something secretly in the pipeline? Gooners certainly hope so.
