England Women u17s defeated Slovakia 6-0 and have qualified for the Elite Round.

Arsenal’s winger Lauren James and midfielder Ava Kuyken started the game, while Paige Bailey-Gayle and Lia Cataldo were named as substitutes.

Cataldo came on as a sub for the last eleven minutes. Lauren James got two goals including a penalty and an assist from a free-kick for the opening goal. Ebony Salmon scored twice, while Hannah Griffin and Simran Jhamat got on the scoresheet too.

The top two in each group and the five third-placed sides with the best record against the leading pair in their group accompany top seeds Germany into the 28-team elite round. Seven nations will eventually qualify for the finals to join Lithuania.

England and Scotland are through to the Elite Round alongside the following teams: Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Iceland, Republic Of Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway, Serbia, Belgium, Austria and Portugal.
