On Thursday morning, Arsene Wenger delivered the latest team news ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Watford.

Wenger revealed that Sead Kolasinac suffered a small hip problem while away with the Bosnian national team.

The 24-year-old was taken off at half time in favour of Utrecht’s Dario Dumic during Bosnia’s 2-1 World Cup qualifier win over Estonia on Tuesday.

Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be serious as the wing-back was in training on Friday.

Two other players who were also in training were Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck with the duo set to return to the fold against Watford.

Ozil has been dipping in and out with an inflamed knee since the Gunners 0-0 draw away to Chelsea, which meant he missed Germany’s World Cup qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan.

Welbz suffered a groin injury against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September. Wenger claims the 26-year-old has recovered quicker than expected.

Now for the bad news. Shkodran Mustafi limped off during Germany’s 5-1 win over Azerbaijan at the weekend and it’s since been confirmed by Wenger that he’ll miss four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Laurent Koscielny was in training on Friday but he faces a late test before the Watford match. The centre-back has missed eight days (and counting) after his recurring Achilles problem flared up.

“He worked quite hard physically, he looks like he is capable of playing if he survives the test,” said Wenger. “If he has no pain on his Achilles tendon, he can play. I will decide that tomorrow.”

Alexis Sanchez is also due to return from international duty with Chile. However, the 28-year-old’s country failed to qualify for the World Cup and therefore the boss wants to assess how he’s feeling. There are reports that Arsenal are concerned about the forward’s mental state.

Calum Chambers (hip) and Santi Cazorla (ankle) are both still out. Chambers is expected to return to action at the end of October.
