Arsene Wenger has revealed goalkeeper David Ospina and defender Calum Chambers have returned ahead of Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Swansea City.

Chambers hasn’t featured in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, having spent the last few weeks out of action with a hip injury.

The 22-year-old has made just one Carabao Cup appearance against Doncaster Rovers, getting 45 minutes before coming off.

As for Ospina, the Colombian goalkeeper has made just three appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season, having featured in the Carabao Cup and Europa League.

He should return to European duty when Arsenal face Red Star in the reverse fixture, but may be too short to make the matchday squad on the weekend.

Arsenal host Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and are big favourites to pick up all three points. Personally, neither Chambers or Ospina would be making the starting lineup so Arsenal aren’t missing the pair too much.

Currently fifth in the division with 16 points from nine games, coming off the back of three wins from their last four outings, Arsenal could move into the top-four if results go their way.

Both Chambers and Ospina seem more likely to feature for the Gunners in Thursday’s clash with Red Star next month.
