Arsenal have made Napoli midfielder, Jorginho, a top target, according to reports.

The midfielder is a valuable player for Napoli and will be monitored by Arsenal until next summer.

That’s according to Transfer Market Web, who report that although Arsenal would like to sign him in January, Napoli will not consider any sale until at least next summer.

Jorginho is an important midfielder for Napoli due to his ability to quickly and accurately distribute the ball to his team-mates.

No other midfielder in Europe has completed more passes than he has.

The Brazilian, who also has an Italian passport, could soon receive a call-up to the Brazil national team due to his good form.

That he possesses Italian nationality means he would qualify for a work permit automatically should Arsenal try to sign him.

Jorginho joined Napoli from Hellas Verona in 2013 and has made 127 appearances since.

He has two caps for Italy, but as they were only friendlies, he can still play for Brazil should he choose to.

Arsenal could be on the look-out for a new midfielder should Granit Xhaka’s form not improve and Aaron Ramsey not extend his contract beyond 2019.
