Bologna midfielder Godfred Donsah is being monitored by Inter Milan and a number of English clubs, according to the player’s agent.

The 21-year-old has been impressing for Bologna in Serie A and is attracting attention from Inter Milan and unnamed English clubs. That’s according to his agent, Olivier Arthur, who believes the Serie A outfit and a lot of clubs from England like his client and could soon make a move.

“Donsah has been growing steadily and he’s adapted to a league as difficult as the Italian one so I’m convinced he’ll become one of the best in the world in his role,” Arthur told FC Inter News via talkSPORT.

“It’s no coincidence that it’s not just Inter who are following him, a lot of clubs in England and Russia like him, but they’d have to convince Bologna to give him up, then talk to me. Do Inter want him? None of the directors have contacted me because I’m in Ghana at the moment, but it seems clear to me that the Nerazzurri are thinking of signing him.

“Could it happen in January? He’s a key man for [Bologna manager Roberto] Donadoni… but I think it’s possible. Inter are a top club and everyone wants to play for such a prestigious team.”

Donsah was linked with Arsenal in 2015, back when he was a young player at Cagliari. Manchester City and Tottenham were also said to be monitoring him. Having come through the ranks at Hellas Verona, he made 23 appearances for Cagliari before moving on to Bologna, where he’s a regular.

Despite that, he’s yet to win his first senior cap for the Ghana national team. I feel Arsenal have plenty of midfielders at the club and wouldn’t be able to give Donsah the first team opportunities he needs to develop as a player at this moment in time.

However, with Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla potentially leaving in the summer once their contracts expire, there could be room for an additional midfielder in the squad. It remains to be seen if Arsenal are one of the club still watching Donsah or if they’ve already moved on.
