Arsenal have several injury problems to worry about ahead of their trip to Watford on Saturday, with up to seven players potentially missing out on the weekend.

In typical Arsenal fashion, the thinnest part of their squad has been hit by a number of injuries. Shkodran Mustafi injured his thigh during Germany’s win over Azerbaijan on Sunday and looks set to be out for a number of weeks. Around seven players could miss out.

Laurent Koscielny, meanwhile, remains a doubt for the Watford trip on Saturday after a flare-up of his chronic tendinitis kept him out of international duty.

Then there’s Calum Chambers, who has been absent with a hip injury. An update has yet to been given on his fitness.

The situation could force Arsenal into playing Per Mertesacker and Rob Holding alongside Nacho Monreal in the back three.

Watford have made a good start to the Premier League season and currently sit in eighth, having only lost one of their opening seven games. They represent a tricky away tie for an Arsenal side who are just starting to find some form.

Elsewhere, there are still doubts about the fitness of Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil. The pair were expected to recover in time for the Watford game but remain doubts, according to 101 Great Goals.
