Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly set to battle it out for Leicester City’s Riyah Mahrez in January.

With Alexis Sanchez allegedly set to be signing for Manchester City for £20m in January, Arsenal are said to be on the look-out for a replacement forward.

While Monaco’s Thomas Lemar appears to be the main guy in the frame, PSG’s Julian Draxler has also been linked and now claims that the Gunners could be moving for Mahrez again have begun to resurface.

The problem is, Spurs apparently want to sign the 26-year-old too.

The north London clubs are supposedly willing to pay £30m for the Algeria international and Leicester are reportedly willing to sell.

Mahrez was seemingly pushing for a move over the summer and Arsenal were heavily linked in July. However, once their attention turned fully to Lemar, their apparent interest in the Leicester man dropped.

Roma were also said to be highly interested in signing him and Barcelona were linked but neither move came to fruition.

This season, Mahrez has provided two assists in seven Premier League appearances. One of which came against Arsenal in the opening game of the season.

The winger has three years left on his current deal with the Foxes. However, it’s not looking likely that he’ll stay with with them that long.
