Barcelona B winger Jose Arnaiz is interesting Arsenal and Manchester United, according to reports.

The 22-year-old only joined Barcelona from Real Valladolid in the summer, but is apparently already attracting interest from abroad.

According to Mundo Deportivo (via the Mirror), Arsenal will “compete with” Manchester United for the winger. The Mirror goes on to claim that the report details how a bid could be made next summer without providing any actual details, so I’ll do that for them.

The winger joined Barcelona for £3m and reportedly has a £17.8m release that will increase should Arnaiz sign a new deal with the club.

At the rate he’s going, that could soon happen. He’s played 10 games for Barcelona B in the Spanish second division, scoring four goals and assisting three.

He also recently made his first team debut for Barcelona, as he started, and scored in, their 3-0 victory over Real Murcia in the Copa del Rey.

Arnaiz is certainly picking up where he left off last season.

In his final season as a Valladolid player, he scored 12 goals in 35 appearances.

It was his first season as a regular starter, and it was good enough to attract the attention of Barcelona.

Barcelona B are currently 14th, with 14 points from 11 games.
