Arsenal’s loanees continued to struggle in the latest round of games around Europe.

With several players not receiving any game time or playing for clubs struggling for form, this season hasn’t been a happy one for our loanees.

The best of the bunch last weekend was Lucas Perez. The Spaniard managed to score his second goal since returning to Deportivo, but was unable to prevent a 4-1 defeat to Las Palmas in the Copa del Rey. He’ll have the opportunity to put that right when the two sides meet in La Liga on Monday night.

In Germany, Takuma Asano played 90 minutes for Stuttgart in their 3-0 win over Freiburg. However, he’ll be disappointed with his performance as he failed to complete a single dribble or muster an attempt on goal.

Kelechi Nwakali appeared as a second half substitute for VVV-Venlo, but couldn’t help his side prevent a 3-0 defeat against Heracles.

Stephy Mavididi made a late appearance for Preston, but was another on the receiving end of a defeat as they lost 3-2 to Brentford.

Emi Martinez was an unused sub for Getafe, while Marc Bola and Cohen Bramall were left out of the Notts County and Birmingham squads respectively. Bramall has made just two first team appearances for Birmingham since joining on loan in the summer.

Joel Campbell is expected to feature for Real Betis when they take on Espanyol tonight.
