Dani Alves has said he would welcome Alexis Sanchez at Paris Saint-Germain, admitting the 28-year-old coming to the Parc des Princes is “a possibility”.

Alves and Alexis played together for three years at Barcelona between the years of 2011 and 2014. The Brazilian full back currently plays for PSG, and, when asked about the possibility of Alexis joining as well, said he would welcome him at the club, reports the Metro.

“It’s a possibility. He’s courted by many teams. It would be nice if he joined us. I will always appreciate him and I will always wish him the best wherever he goes,” he told Foot Mercarto.

PSG were interested in Alexis during the summer transfer window, but were more focusing on signing Neymar from Barcelona and Kylian Mbappe from Monaco. Alexis then came close to joining Manchester City, but Arsenal cancelled the deal due to not being able to sign a replacement.

He’s out of contract in the summer, and will likely have his pick of clubs to choose from. For PSG to sign him, they would surely have to offload one of their current attackers. Their front-line options currently include Neymar, Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler and Lucas Moura.

Signing Alexis may see one of Draxler or Moura leave. Both players have been linked with Arsenal as potential replacements for the forward. Alexis should feature for Arsenal against Watford on Saturday following Chile’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
