Arsenal are after Hirving Lozano, but PSV aren’t looking to sell for any less than his release clause, according to reports.

BleacherReport.com write that the Gunners are interested in the Mexican, and consider him to be a good value replacement for the potentially departing Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal would have to pay £30m to activate the player’s release clause.

Lozano joined PSV over the summer, and every time we write an article about him he’s scored even more goals than before. At this stage, the winger is up to nine goals and five assists in just eight Eredivisie matches, as well as scoring in his first cup appearance last week.

Of course, the Eredivisie isn’t known for being the toughest league in the world. Not long ago in 2014/15, Memphis Depay scored 22 goals and assisted six in 30 matches for PSV, before joining Manchester United. But he never came anywhere near those numbers for the Red Devils, and ended up moving on just a couple of years later.

Nonetheless, Lozano’s numbers right now are even better than that, and he isn’t showing any signs of letting up, so the 22-year-old could yet be worth a shot.

After all, Luis Suarez also came to England from the Netherlands, and he didn’t do so badly.
