Arsenal’s first-team trained ahead of Tuesday’s League Cup match against Norwich, with a number of youth prospects involved.

10 youth players are in the running for some sort of involvement on Tuesday. Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Nketiah, Sheaf, Dasilva, McGuane and Willock have all already played for the first-team this season, and all of them were left out of the u23 and u18 matches over the last few days.

In addition to the seven players above, who all took part in first-team training on Monday, Akpom, Osei-Tutu and Macey could all be in with a chance for their first senior minutes of the season, as they too trained and didn’t play for the academy.

It looks like Mathieu Debuchy might finally be getting the chance to have a run in the team, with all the games going on and Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers’ injuries. David Ospina’s absence could give Matt Macey an opportunity to start, unless Čech takes over, as he did against Red Star Belgrade.

Other than that, there are no real surprises. The players who started the match against Everton were all excluded from training and are very unlikely to play a second game just two days after the match at Goodison Park.
