Zenit St. Petersburg manager Roberto Mancini is being linked with a move to West Ham United, but the former Manchester City boss is keen to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, who says Mancini’s dream job would be to manage the Gunners.

Mancini has been linked with the Arsenal job before, but with Arsene Wenger set to be in charge for all eternity, a vacancy isn’t opening up any time soon. His previous spell in England was with Manchester City. He took over from Mark Hughes from 2009 and went on to win the Premier League title in 2012 before losing his job in 2013.

The Italian coach went on to have brief spells at Galatasaray and Inter Milan before joining Zenit St. Petersburg in June. In terms of how he likes his teams to play, Mancini is a very different manager to Wenger.

While Wenger’s teams tend to be offensive to the point of recklessness, Mancini’s teams tend to be defensive and cautious. The likes of Eddie Howe, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Massimiliano Allegri, Thomas Tuchel and Leonardo Jardim have all been linked to the Arsenal job over the past year.
