Arsenal fans have been fearing the worst about Danny Welbeck after the English international was ruled out for a month with a groin injury.

Welbeck was forced off during the 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Sunday due to a groin injury, reports Sky Sports.

Although Arsenal have yet to confirm the extent of the injury, there are fears that Welbeck could face a month on the sidelines.

He’s scored three goals this season, and the Arsenal fans are disappointed he won’t be able to keep up his good form.

The injury is a blow to a player who had started the season well having finally gotten fit again. Welbeck’s Arsenal career has been blighted by injury. He seems to pick up serious injuries just when he’s starting to find form.

Last summer, was the first time he managed to have a pre-season with Arsenal and I believe it showed during the start of the season. He looked very fit and strong, and his three goals seemed to be giving him confidence, I felt.

Hopefully, the injury isn’t a serious one and he’ll be back in time for the tougher fixtures in November. At the very least, he’s expected to be out for the remainder of September, which means he’ll miss games against Doncaster, West Brom, BATE Borisov and Brighton.
