After West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis criticised the Gunners for cheating in Monday’s Premier League meeting, Arsenal fans took their revenge on social media.

The West Brom manager had plenty to say after his side went down 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

The performance of referee Bobby Madley came under scrutiny, as Pulis believed his side should have been awarded an early penalty, and that Alexis Sanchez should have been booked for diving.

Having had several encounters with Tony Pulis’ teams over the years, the Arsenal fans have developed a strong dislike for the manager and understandably aren’t very sympathetic.

In fairness, I feel Pulis did have a right to feel aggrieved about the penalty decision not going his team’s way. That very well could have changed the game.

However, it’s a bit rich for the Albion boss to be unhappy with the referee and accuse Arsenal players of cheating when his teams have frequently gotten away with over-physical play in the past.

Pulis has an awful record as a manager at the Emirates Stadium. In 10 visits, he’s yet to win a single point. His highly defensive and physical approach to the game may work at home, but at the Emirates, it’s not enough to beat Arsenal.
