Hector Bellerín has praised Alexandre Lacazette and says that the French striker can make a difference in games and improves the players around him.

Lacazette became Arsenal’s club record signing this summer and has made a good first impression, scoring in all but one of his league starts. Bellerín thinks Lacazette brings more than just goals, however.

He said to International Business Times: “Lacazette has already proved that he can make a difference. He showed it during the pre-season and proved it again against Bournemouth. He showed he was a very dangerous player and he makes the players better around him.”

When the French striker joined the club, all most Arsenal fans knew about him was that he had a good goal record and more than a bit of pace. However, Lacazette also brings other qualities to the table and those have started to become more evident with each game he plays.

For a start, his passing game is excellent. Against Bournemouth Lacazette completed 94% of his passes and created a chance for Granit Xhaka in the first half. Overall Lacazette has made 1.66 chances per 90 minutes so far. He’s also very good at taking players on and has completed 100% of his attempted take-ons so far.

Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Tottenham’s Harry Kane have all completed 50% or less of theirs, so taking players on and moving the team forward is another way the Arsenal man can stand out. The same goes for tracking back.

Lacazette has again won more tackles than any of the above strikers, in fact he’s won more than all of them combined so far. If he can keep this up, the French international will bring far more than just finishing ability this season.
