Arsenal fans believe that Stan Kroenke is responsible for Arsenal’s lack of deadline day signings.

The fanbase was left bitterly disappointed yesterday after the club failed to bring in anymore players.

The reason behind it was said to be “no money” being available for another major purchase, a statement which bemused everyone.

The general consensus amongst the fans seems to be that majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is holding back funds.

(note the sample size on that poll, over 10k)

There are some concerns amongst the fans that Kroenke is using the club to leverage a $1bn loan that he has taken out to build a NFL stadium.

While that falls into the realms of conspiracy theory, people are right to ask questions about Arsenal’s financial situation.

The club has always claimed to have plenty of money and boasted that they could match the likes of Bayern Munich in financial might.

A shame, then, that they couldn’t match them in terms of competency as well.

The timing of Arsenal’s so-called financial issues was very suspect, an an issue that should have been spotted long before only became one right before deadline day.

Whether this was pure incompetence and the club’s attempt of managing expectations, you can decide.
