Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez looks happy again after his initial deadline day disappointment, according to latest reports.

The Express report that Alexis is in a good mood during Chile training as he prepares for La Roja’s match against Bolivia. He was apparently seen joking with team-mates, signing autographs and posing for photos.

The Arsenal attacker had multiple reasons to be a bit emotional around deadline day, as he received the news that a move to Manchester City could be on as Arsenal tried to do a deal for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, only to be told the move for Lemar fell through and he’d be staying at the Emirates.

This was followed by a disappointing 3-0 loss to Paraguay for Chile, and a former Chile youth coach calling him “fat”. But it seems that the 28-year-old isn’t letting it all get to him which can only be good news for Arsenal.

In the first few games of the season, Arsenal were wasteful, despite scoring four against Leicester, and fans hoped that Alexis would help rectify that on his return.

However, the former Barcelona man was just as much a part of the Anfield horror show as anybody else, so he’ll need to improve when he’s back in action.

Chile’s match against Bolivia gives him an early opportunity to show he has.
