Alexis Sanchez could miss Arsenal’s clashes against Manchester City and Tottenham in November as he may be called into action by Chile.

Alexis’ national team aren’t doing too well in their South American World Cup qualifying group.

Chile currently sit sixth, four points behind Uruguay in second after losing 1-0 to Bolivia on Tuesday and 3-0 to Paraguay before that.

If they don’t manage to break into the top four of the 10 countries involved in the South America World Cup qualifying group and instead finish in fifth, they’ll have to enter into an inter-confederation play-off against New Zealand.

Said play-offs will take place over two legs on November 6 and 14 and Sanchez would have to leave for international duty on November 2 due to FIFA regulations.

Arsenal’s clash against City is on 5 November and the North London Derby takes place on 18, which means that one of the Gunners’ main players will be absent for what are bound the be massive games.

Obviously, if Chile finish outside the top five, they don’t qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia at all.

Alexis’ country face Brazil, who have topped the group by 10 points, during their final qualifying match.

Meanwhile, Peru play Argentina, who are ahead of Chile by just one point. If Argentina drop points, Chile could capitalise, but it’s a long shot.
