Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has once again had to answer questions about Alexis Sanchez’s future, and he’s getting sick and tired about it.

Suffice it to say that Arsene Wenger is getting pretty sick of answering questions about Alexis Sanchez’s future at the club. He was firm from the beginning that Alexis would not be leaving this summer. With every new answer he gives, the more bullish he seems to become.

When asked again after an open training session which Alexis took part in, Wenger answered:

Many will be interested in Wenger’s choice of words here, as “he will accept that” implies Alexis has asked to leave but will have to accept he won’t be sold. Nevertheless, that doesn’t appear to make any difference to Arsenal or Wenger, who have been clear all summer long about their plans concerning Alexis.

Unless there are any serious developments, this could be the last time we hear Wenger speak about the saga. It seems at this point it’d be more productive to ignore the questions rather than give out the same answers time and again. The Chilean is back in training and could feature in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Arsenal could try and offer Alexis a new contract behind closed doors but they will be retaining his services until the end of his current deal – June 2018.
