When Aaron Ramsey posted a tribute to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after his move to Liverpool, it seemed like it was just going to be another player saying the usual goodbyes – not so!

Hidden at the end of his message, Ramsey slipped in the hashtag ‘#shaaambles

I’ve included a screenshot of the Instagram post in case he goes in and edits it (can you even do that on Instagram, I dunno), but the original post can be viewed here.

Ramsey wrote: “Another of our British boys heading on to new things. Not only have we lost a great player we’ve lost a great guy in the changing room and It is sad to see you go mate. Had some great memories over the years playing along side you and I wish you all the best with this new chapter in your life 👊#theOX#shaaambles”

Apparently this was the Ox’s nickname at Arsenal, however Ramsey must surely have been aware what he was doing by including it in this post

The post itself doesn’t exactly read like it’s coming from a player happy with what is going on, even if you ignore the hashtag.

Ramsey is out of contract in 2019 and will no doubt be expecting Arsenal to open contract talks with him shortly. It’s unlikely he feels like sticking around.

It’s hard to disagree with his assessment of what’s going on at Arsenal, and players also feeling that way doesn’t point to anything getting better any time soon.

Fun times.
