Jack Wilshere is reportedly resigned to leaving Arsenal this summer and there are allegedly a whole host of club waiting to take him off Arsene Wenger’s hands.

Despite recent reports claiming that Wilshere was dead-set on staying in north London and fighting for his place at Arsenal, it now appears that the midfielder has resigned himself to leaving.

Wenger left the 25-year-old out of the Gunners’ matchday squad to face Leicester on Friday and while the boss insists that Wilshere’s not ready after suffering another hairline fracture to his fibula in April, the England international begs to differ.

In fact, a ‘source’ told the Sun, “Jack is fit. He is raring to go but has not been included in the squad.

“Wenger told the public that he isn’t ready but Jack is feeling in top condition.”

Wilshere has under 12 months left on his existing deal at Arsenal and there’s been very little talk about offering him an extension for a long time, suggesting that there’s not going to be one.

Newcastle boss, Rafa Benitez, who’s reportedly furious about the newly promoted Magpies’ lack of signings this summer, is supposedly a fan and keen to bring Wilshere on board.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria, former loan side Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Roma, Juventus and Lazio are all allegedly interested in signing him.

Wilshere has been at Arsenal since the age of nine and was promoted to the senior squad in 2008. However, since this time, he’s only made 105 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring just six goals and assisting 14.

Since 2009, he’s been sidelined for a whopping 154 games. And counting.

While no one’s doubting that Wilshere could have been one of the best midfielders in the world at one point, injury woes have affected him and now moving on is probably the best course of action.
