Some of the Premier League’s top teams have risked the wrath of their fans after increasing tour prices in spite of receiving massive TV pay-outs.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have added up to £20 onto the price of their Legends stadium tours, claims the Mirror.

This is despite raking in £190m last season through commercial and TV deals after winning the league.

City’s legends tour now costs £95, which is £20 more than last year, Chelsea’s, hosted by Ron “Chopper” Harris, is up £10 to £80, and Liverpool have upped theirs to £40. A £5 increase.

The most expensive stadium tour is Manchester United’s. Their legend tour will set you back £120. However, this price hasn’t risen.

From what we can tell, Arsenal’s legends tour, hosted by a choice of Nigel Winterburn, Perry Groves or Charlie George, which is £40, hasn’t actually risen in price. However, the Gunners’ regular stadium tour has gone up £2 from £20 to £22.

There is a VIP legends package, which includes a buffet lunch and complimentary booze with either Lee Dixon, Martin Keown or Ray Parlour and THAT will set you back £350 but us mere morals might as well just ignore that one.

Interestingly, Leicester’s standard tour has positively sky-rocketed from just £4 to £14. Winning the title obviously comes at a price…

The rest of the Premier League are said to have frozen their tour prices.

All tours usually include being shown the stadium (obviously), dressing rooms, stands, dug-outs, tunnel and executive boxes, with the addition of a ‘legend’ for some extra cash.

Of course, fans have every right to be a bit miffed, especially if you’re a City fan seeing as they’ve not even announced their ‘legend’ yet, but unlike matchday tickets, which Arsenal have frozen again, there’s unlikely to be as much noise surrounding the price-hikes.
