Piers Morgan has reacted to Arsenal’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Naturally, he’s not happy.

There are always a couple of things you can count on. One is that Arsenal will lose badly in a big game away from home. The other is that Piers Morgan will go on a Twitter rant expressing how unhappy he is.

Celebrity fan or not, he does have a right to be upset. His rant would have just been one of many that occurred during and after the game.

The only thing that’s contentious is whether this is, in fact, the worst team and performances he’s had the misery or enduring, which says a lot about the current state of the club.

Arsenal have suffered some horrendous results in recent years. 8-2 to Manchester United, 6-3 to Manchester City, 5-1 to Liverpool, 6-0 to Chelsea and three 5-1 defeats to Bayern Munich immediately spring to mind.

It should be pointed out, however, that the anger on social media seems removed from the reactions of the fans who travelled to the game. Bar one chant for the manager to go, the away fans yesterday were near apathetic and resorted to gallows humour.

They’ve seen one too many big defeat over the years. It’s little wonder that they’ve grown accustomed to it.
