Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to pay more than £80m to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez this summer, despite just spending £200m to sign Neymar from Barcelona.

According to the Independent, the French Ligue 1 giants are still looking to bolster their attack with stellar talent to ensure they win back the domestic title as well as go further in the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain endured a troubling first season under manager Unai Emery, having lost out on the Ligue 1 crown to AS Monaco and suffering a humiliating 6-1 last-16 defeat by Barcelona after winning the first leg 4-0.

The club have responded by breaking the world record transfer fee for Neymar and are now reportedly willing to spend another £80m to sign Alexis. Arsenal are adamant on keeping the Chilean, but they may consider a sale if PSG do submit such a lucrative offer, I feel.

Alexis only has a year left his deal and has a host of clubs interested in his signature – Manchester City the most notable. PSG are willing to pay over the odds and offer a £400k-per-week contract to ensure they land the forward now rather than be embroiled in a battle for his signature next summer.
