At the end of July, Mesut Ozil was the first player to wear the new ADIDAS Ace 17+ Purecontrol football boots from the Ocean Storm collection, but where can us normal humans get them?

After Ozil debuted ADIDAS’ new boots in training recently, you’re bound to be wondering where you can get them and, if you’re going to have to remortgage your house for footwear, is it worth it?

What are they?

The ADIDAS Ace 17+ Purecontrol boots are laceless in order to allow the boot to mold completely around your foot.

Ozil’s have a navy, turquoise and white look as they’re part of the Ocean Storm collection.

Without laces in the way, they also allow you to make a sweeter connection with the ball, assisting your touch. Not that Ozil needs much help with that.

Very nice, how much?

The boots will set you back around £250. Therefore, unless you’re minted, I doubt you’ll be buying them just to have a hungover kick-about with the lads down the park on a Sunday morning.

However, compared to other professional football boots, such as Alexis Sanchez and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Nike Mercurial Superfly V’s, £250 is pretty much the going rate.

At the top level, if you want quality, you’re going to have to pay for it and they’re no cheaper or more expensive than the other top-of-the-range football boots on the market today.

Where can I buy them?

You can purchase the ADIDAS Ace 17+ Purecontrol boots from any good sports store, online or in person, such as Soccer Scene or ProDirectSoccer.

Of course, you can also buy them from ADIDAS themselves or alternatively, Amazon.
